polish purchases: october edition

well hello, remember me? i know it's been a while. . . . i don't really have a good excuse, except that i've been really busy with baby, and have kind of lost interest in nails for a while. *gasp.* but i think i've recovered from my temporary apathy, and i'm back to show you what i bought last month-

opi gargantuan green grape, pinkdipsybulle indian ocean franken, hard candy so so sequin, sinful gilded

sinful gilded ($1.99)- i've been searching for this beauty at many a walgreen's, and finally found it at a rite aid. soooo glad! how beautiful and shimmery is this?

hard candy so so sequin ($4.00)- i need another silver holo glitter like a need extra baby weight, but while shopping at walmart, i was seduced by the sparkle. tale as old as time.

pinkdipsybulle indian ocean franken ($6 + $2.50 s/h)- i looove this polish. it's a gorgeous cornflower blue base with tons of magical magenta shimmer. can't wait to wear this one.

opi gargantuan green grape ($8.99)- wait, didn't i already buy this one? yes i did, but it was a total fake. not even close to the real (amazing) green shade that i wanted. observe-

l: the real gargantuan green grape, r: the imposter

the first one i bought was totally toothpaste, the one on the left is green gorgeousness. the perfect color.

GRAND TOTAL FOR OCTOBER: $23.48

i got 2 big-ticket items that i've wanted for a while, and 2 glittery cheapies that make me smile. all in all, a good month.

10.09.2013

polish purchases: september edition

well hi. i'm still here, i promise! i've been pretty busy these days- mostly baking for a couple of family birthdays and a friend's baby shower. wanna see what i made?

close to 100 baby shower macarons- cheesecake, white chocolate vanilla, and strawberry cheesecake!

a caramel cheesecake macaron cake for my mom- in her favorite color!

fun, right? aside from all the baking, i also managed to buy a few polishes-

l.a. colors enchanting, la splash embellished, sparkling torpedo, and tailscales

maybelline color show vintage leather lasting lilac and antique teal, hard candy emerald's eve

maybelline color show vintage leather lasting lilac and antique teal ($2.97 each)- i've been looking for this purple one ever since i saw swatches at nouveau cheap. it's a gorgeous red-toned purple with clear flakies! so unique. when i saw it at target, i caved and bought the teal one too. just because :P.

hard candy emerald's eve ($4)- so this is a new glitter from hand candy and i had to have it. i'm such a sucker for holographic gold glitter, and i can't wait to try this over mint green!

l.a. colors enchanting ($4.18)- this has been a long-time lemming of mine. it's supposed to be a dupe of orly fantasea, which is a beautiful purple/red/gold duochrome. when everything at cherry culture was 20% off, i knew it was finally time to snap it up.

la splash embellished, sparkling torpedo, and tailscales ($4.18 each)- la splash is a brand that i've really liked so far (i only have 1 polish- golden seahorse), and was curious about their other glitters. after a quick google images search, i settled on three amazing ones i needed. they all three contain holo glitter, and i can't wait to wear them! plus, i mean, the bottles. i love the shape and the gold cap! so cute.

GRAND TOTAL FOR SEPTEMBER: $26.66

i'm quite pleased with everything i bought this month. no regrets here. sorry i haven't been very regular with postings, but i now have a bunch of saved manicures to show you. to be posted soon!

8.29.2013

polish purchases: august edition

yes, i somehow still managed to buy a bunch of polish this month, even though i had a baby. i'm both proud and ashamed of myself at the same time. to be fair, i bought all but one item before the baby was born, so there's that.

orly preamp, sally hansen xtreme wear pink-grape fruit, pure ice never satisfied, pure ice over you

beautiful scratchers plate h20

pure ice never satisfied and over you ($2.00 each)- i'm not sure if these are from a limited-edition pure ice collection or not (it's so hard to tell with pure ice), but they were sparkly and $2, so i had to have it! enough said.

sally hansen xtreme wear pink-grape fruit ($2.49)- uhhh, not sure why there's a hyphen in pink-grape fruit. actually, the whole name just confuses me. why not just pink grapefruit? oh well, it's still a pretty polish. this is the only one i bought post-baby. i ran to target to pick up nursing bras and diapers (glamorous, i know), and as a consolation prize for the loss of my youth and freedom, i snatched up this polish near the check-out. it helped. a little.

orly preamp ($6.95)- i've been eying this polish for a while, but never bit the bullet until this month. just like pink-grape fruit, it contains gorgeous pink shimmer, which is the only reason i bought it. i'm really not a pink person by any stretch of the imagination, but this shimmer lured me in. we'll see how i feel about it when i actually wear it.

beautiful scratchers plate h20 ($7)- you know how i've been obsessing over the gold seashell nail jewelry from nail swag? well, i haven't been able to find them anywhere, so i had the genius idea to use a shell stamp instead. smart, right? instead of expensive nail jewelry that will probably fall off and be lost forever, why not use a reusable stamp that can be done in a million different colors? i scoured the internet and finally found what i wanted at a site called beautiful scratchers. they have a lot of fauxnad and other knock-off plates, as well as plates i've never seen before (like plate h20). plus, they have free shipping!

GRAND TOTAL FOR AUGUST: $20.44

amazing that i managed to spend this much and have my first child in the same month, huh? i must be nuts.

7.02.2013

polish purchases: june edition

everything i bought this month was totally unplanned. . . . as in nothing was on my wish list lol. but i'm really happy for spontaneous purchases, because i love everything i bought!

maybelline color show metallics amethyst ablaze and blue blowout, fing'rs heart 2 art in mint condition

nabi hologram nail lacquer in purple, sky blue, and green

born pretty store plate m66 ($0.99)- can you believe this plate was just 99 cents?? i really love the cherry blossoms and the bamboo plant, and can't wait to do a japanese mani! this plate had my name written all over it :).

born pretty store plates qa10, qa 50, and qa59 ($1.99)- these plates were also on sale, so i went a little bit crazy. i'm geeking out over the middle swirly image in qa10, the adorable mirrors in qa50, and the henna-inspired patterns in qa59. my head is spinning with all the new mani possibilities!

fing'rs heart 2 art in mint condition ($1.68)- i found this just a couple days ago at walmart and snatched it up immediately. a deborah lippmann dupe inspired by mermaids for less than $2?? there's just no question. this was the only fing'rs polish in the display that caught my eye, but i might have to go back and look for more. . . .

maybelline color show metallics amethyst ablaze and blue blowout ($2.09 each)- these were both on sale during the cvs clearance last month, and i thought i'd give them a try for stamping, since i've had such good results with bold gold and navy narcissist. i'm excited to try them out!

nabi hologram nail lacquer purple, sky blue, and green ($12.95 for 3)- you guys, have you seen swatches of the new nabi holos?? check these out on the holo queen and tell me you're not drooling. i got mine from a seller on ebay with free shipping, which i thought was a pretty good deal. but you can also get them on amazon for $4.10 each (+ $1.35 shipping). my polishes are still in the mail, but i can't wait to see them in person!

GRAND TOTAL FOR JUNE: $25.77

so i barely surpassed my $25 budget, but i'm not gonna worry about a mere 77 cents :P. especially since for $25, i got 4 awesome stamping plates, 3 gorgeous holos, 2 metallic polishes for stamping, and 1 dupe for an $18 polish. not bad, right??

6.01.2013

polish purchases: may edition

well. . . . i went a little glitter crazy this month :S. BUT, i managed to not buy any stamping supplies, so i consider that a mild success.

sinful scene stealer, shine on me, crystal clear, elf unnamed flaky

wet 'n wild fastdry caught on sapphire, opi gargantuan green grape, summer brights unnamed green, milani lemongello

milani lemongello ($1.00)- i found a whole rack of milani polishes lurking at dollar tree the other day, and practically pounced on it. i almost hauled, but then restrained myself to my favorite one- lemongello. it's a very pretty yellow glass fleck with lots of gold shimmer. plus the name makes me think of all the lemon gelato I've been eating lately :P. mmmm. . . . haagen-dazs, i love you.

wet 'n wild fastdry caught on sapphire ($1.99)- this lovely aqua glitter is part of wet 'n wild's new limited edition "hot rocks" collection. there are lots of pretty glitters in this collection (click here to see), but the electric pool blue of this one really caught my eye. i think this would look stunning over navy!

elf unnamed flaky ($1.99)- this is also part of a limited-edition collection i saw at cvs (click here to view all the shades). the collection is nameless, as are all of the polishes. boo. i hate unnamed polishes. . . . but i got this one because it's supposed to be another hidden treasure/shine of the times dupe. yes, i already have hidden treasure, but i really really love it, and thought a $1.99 back-up sounded like a wise idea.

summer brights unnamed green ($2.99)- baah, another unnamed shade! i found this at rite-aid this month, and bought it in response to how disappointed i was with gargantuan green grape (see below), and to how crappy of a day i was having. i like this one because it's a sort of neon pastel. how can something be both neon and pastel?? i don't know, but i'm really liking it :P.

sinful scene stealer, shine on me, and crystal clear ($2.99 x3)- since when does sinful colors do fancy silver handles and up their prices by a dollar?? i'd rather have a plain black cap and save my dollar, thank you very much. apparently i wasn't too upset by this price increase, though, because i bought 3 of them :S. what can i say, i'm on a big diamond-shaped glitter kick right now. in retrospect, i probably didn't need to buy the pink one, since it looks a lot like the loose pink glitter i bought from the born pretty store last month (oops). but i'm stoked about the other two!

opi gargantuan green grape ($7.49)- in this case, the last and the least of this month's polishes. not least in cost, but least in excitement. gargantuan green grape has been on my mental wish-list since high school (8 years ago!), when i saw it in a copy of seventeen magazine. it looked like the perfect yellow-toned pale green, which is my favorite color (see my blog background color). other swatches i've seen online since then have only confirmed the fact that this seems to be the perfect shade. so i finally bit the bullet and bought it on ebay, only to find that it looked suspiciously blue-toned and minty. . . . did i get a defective bottle, or are all online swatches untrustworthy?? i guess it's pretty in and of itself, but it was definitely not what i was expecting. sigh.

GRAND TOTAL FOR MAY: $24.43

overall, i'm happy with my mostly glittery haul. and stay tuned, because i have a lovely set of the new pueen stamps on their way to me right now as a birthday gift from my husband :P. yay for free stuff!

3.02.2013

polish purchases: february edition

well well well. look who's actually posting her polish purchases in a timely manner. what do you know :P.

sally hansen diamond strength royal romance, sinful truth or dare, sally hansen lustre shine lava, maybelline color show metallics bold gold

sinful truth or dare ($0.99)- last week there was a coupon floating around at walgreens for $1 off sinful polishes. this was the only one that caught my eye. i'm hoping it shows up plummy, since most purples dry darker on me that how they appear in the bottle (weird). i hope it's a nice replacement for this polish, which is waaay too vampy for me.

maybelline color show metallics bold gold ($2.97)- so you guys know that i love gold, and i'm always looking for good gold stamping polishes. apparently, this cheapy is great at stamping. can't wait to test it out!

sally hansen diamond strength royal romance ($3.29)- i need another purple with gold shimmer like i need a hole in the head, but i had a coupon for $2 off any sally hansen polish. . . . this is the one that called to me. and if a polish calls to you, everyone knows you must answer that call :P.

sally hansen lustre shine lava ($5.79)- with my other $2 off coupon, i knew exactly which polish i needed. i've been lusting after this one for so long, but have been too stubborn to pay over $8 for a silly bottle of polish. seriously?? this was $8.29 for a drugstore polish?? forget about it. so i've been patiently biding my time, waiting for a good sale to come around, and finally it did. i had the $2 coupon, $0.50 in extrabucks at cvs, and they were running a spend $10 get $4 back deal. so i pounced on it. finally~!

cheeky xl b plate
and finally, the big purchase of the month:

cheeky xl b plate ($11.99)- i decided to reward myself for buying so few polishes during december and january, and treated myself to this lovely stamping plate. this is my first xl plate, so i'm very excited. sorry for the weird angle, but it was the only way i could keep my camera from reflecting in the metal. . . . i got mine here on amazon for $11.99, and you can get free shipping if you spend $25 or more.

GRAND TOTAL FOR FEBRUARY: $25.03

whew, just barely over my self-imposed $25 budget. i'm psyched about the addition of new stamping images to my collection, so expect a lot of new manicures on polish cart!

2.20.2013

polish purchases: january edition

sooo. . . . i'm super late on this month's purchases update too. WHOOPS, sorry. i'm a little preoccupied these days. i've got baby on the brain :P.

snowman ($2.99)- the bottom on the bottle literally says "snowman" lol. but i don't care that it doesn't have a name, because i'm just excited that i have my first snowman polish! i always see other bloggers' swatches of these babies and they just look so darn cute. the little hat kills me. this particular polish is an interesting mix (or explosion) of aqua, silver, magenta, and crayon green hexes with lots of shredded pieces thrown in. unfortunately, i can't wear this one for several more months because it's definitely not big-3 free. oh well :S.

revlon girly ($4.99)- i've been drooling over this polish ever since i laid eyes on it online. everything i read said it was part of a limited-edition collection, so the minute i located one at a walgreens, i snatched it up, barely even upset about paying full price for a polish for once. then a couple weeks later i discovered that it has been made part of the permanent line. . . . and on sale at my local crappy walmart for a dollar less. ah, well, i'm still glad i have it because it's stunning~!

aaaand. . . . that's it. can you believe it- just 2 polishes??

GRAND TOTAL FOR JANUARY: $7.98

yup, that's the least i've ever spent on nail polish in a month since i was probably 10 lol. but that's ok, because i definitely purchased more polish this month, and i even have some new image plates to show you! so don't write me off just yet :P.

10.25.2012

polish purchases: october edition

yes yes, i know october's not over yet. but i wanted to go ahead and post this, since i'll be away for several days for my grandfather's funeral. . . . so there's a pretty good chance i won't be stocking up on more polishes during this trip (although i wouldn't put it past myself. i'm pretty obsessed).

revlon nail art moon candy milky way, sinful sinfully magnetic polar opposites, essence grey-t to be here, sinful happy ending

revlon gold coast, revlon fig jam, zoya chloe, china glaze kalahari kiss, color mates nail art opal glitter

here's what i (compulsively) bought this month:
sinful happy ending ($0.99)- i saw a swatch of this lovely green shade here, and couldn't believe that there was a drugstore green with gold shimmer that i do not own! much less a sinful! so i bought it yesterday during a $0.99 sale at walgreens. sweet.
sinful snow me white (not pictured- $0.99)- it's always good to stock up on my favorite white stamping polish, especially when it's on sale.
color mates nail art opal glitter ($1)- like last month, i saw this polish at dollar tree and couldn't resist its beauty or its price tag. the cardboard packaging it came in said "color mates" but if you look closely on the bottle, it says "nail art by diamond cosmetics." hmmm. . . . which is it? are they sister companies or something? intriguing. . . .
revlon gold coast ($1.50)- i bought this and the other revlon above at the same time at walgreens (both on sale for $3), but then it rang up as $1.50 at the register! there was a bogo 1/2 off sale for revlon going on, and i didn't even know about it! i took that as a sign that i needed this one, and it turns out i was right. it is the most gorgeous sheer gold layering polish ever. it adds beautiful gold shimmer (one of my favorite things in the world) to anything it's painted over. amazing. i wish i could buy like 5 more.
essence grey-t to be here ($1.99)- my very first essence! stupid name, beautiful polish. i visited my sister at college earlier this month, which happens to be in a town with an ulta (nashville doesn't have one. . . . boo). so of course i had to take advantage of my location and see for myself what ulta was like. i loved it and limited myself to only 2 polishes. amazing, right?
sally hansen xtreme wear black out (not pictured- $2.50)- i bought this just to see if it's a better black stamping polish than my wet 'n wild black creme. i haven't tested it yet, but we shall see. . . .
revlon fig jam ($3)- i'd been drawn to this one every time i saw the display at walgreens, but didn't want to pay $4.99. apparently it's fig-scented, although that's not why i bought it. i bought it because it's a beautiful coppery rose gold metallic with flecks in it. pretty unique, if you ask me.
china glaze kalahari kiss ($3.29)- another one i wanted, but only for the right price. apparently $3.29 was the right price.
revlon nail art moon candy milky way ($3.74)- confession: i actually just bought this polish today lol. it was calling out to me from the clearance bin at target, and i was powerless to resist. can't wait to see what those holographic flakes look like on the nail!
sinful sinfully magnetic polar opposites ($4.99)- i thought that i was done with the whole magnetic thing. . . . until i saw this swatch, with the lovely blue shimmer and star design. this is definitely the most i've ever spent for a sinful polish, but it's worth it!
zoya chloe ($5.99)- i was soo glad to get my hands on this one at ulta! i'd wanted chloe for a while, but not enough to place an online order (too expensive). happy to add this to my flaky collection (which probably consists of less than 5).

GRAND TOTAL FOR OCTOBER: $29.98

so 10 polishes for about $3 each. not too bad, not too bad. although i did go a little over my $25 budget. and i somehow managed to spend $30 on polishes i hadn't even planned on buying in the first placce lol. but that's ok, because i love all of them.

8.01.2012

polish purchases: july edition

milani 3d, mattese elite je t'aime, sally hansen xtreme wear golden-i, sinful easy going

sally hansen insta-dri chartreuse chase, sally hansen xtreme wear mint sorbet and coral reef, milani jewel fx lavender, sinful fig

let's add up everything and see how much i wasted, ahem spent, on polish this month:

sinful easy going ($0.99)- it looks white in the pic, but it's actually an opaque, pale pink. very flattering and classic. i picked this one up during the sinful $0.99 sale.
sinful fig ($0.99)- i really love this shade, and it's only available during the summer at walgreens, so i scooped up a back-up during the sale.
sally hansen insta-dri chartreuse chase ($1)- i found this at dollar tree the other day, and thought, "green- must buy." yeah, i need another green like i need a hole in my head, but this one has blue shimmer :). so it ended up in my shopping cart.
nyc big city dazzle ($1.72- not pictured)- love this glitter topcoat. i think it's really unique. click here to see what i mean.
sinful pull over ($1.99- not pictured)- i bought this one before the $0.99 sale. . . . oops. it's ok, though, because it was totally worth it! click here for swatches.
sally hansen xtreme wear mint sorbet ($2)- my favorite, favorite green creme. so pretty and so easy to apply. i got this (and the next 2 polishes) during a 3 for $6 sale at walgreens this month. i figured it was a good time to score a back-up.
sally hansen xtreme wear coral reef ($2)- a beautiful hot coral creme.
sally hansen xtreme wear golden-i ($2)- i got this as a replacement for revlon gold coin, which looks uber nasty on me. this one, however, is sparkly, pretty, and perfect.
milani 3d ($2.49)- i used $3 in extrabucks to buy this for pretty cheap at cvs. it's kind of a gross gold also, but i mixed with milani hd (the beautiful silver holo from this line) to make something amazing, which i'll show you soon :).
milani jewel fx lavender ($4.50)- i've been wanting this for a while. a great purple hex glitter to add to my glitter top coat collection.
mattese elite je t'aime ($5.99)- i've been stalking this polish online for a couple of months now, and when ricky's had a free shipping sale a couple of weeks ago, i finally bit the bullet. i'll have swatches of this one next week!

GRAND TOTAL FOR JULY: $25.67

not bad, not bad at all. i've kind of set an unofficial buying limit of $25 every month. so far, so good!

7.17.2012

steampunk

and now, for something completely different.

i'm still away in memphis at a conference type thing, so i haven't changed my nail polish since saturday (still wearing nic's sticks rainbow's end). BUT i do want to show you something else i'm wearing on my fingers- an insane steampunk ring i got for my birthday:

photo: inspired by elizabeth

this is a picture of my exact ring that i ordered from etsy seller inspired by elizabeth. isn't it amazing?? i picked the style of the ring i wanted on her site, then chose the 2 stones i wanted to customize it with. i love how it incorporates both silver and gold. and mostly i love how it looks unique and antique (looove antique jewelry), but still sparkly and girly. basically, i'm infatuated with it.

my seldom-photographed right hand

isn't it sick?? i've been wearing it on my right hand, because of course, my wedding rings belong on my left hand.

also worth mentioning: this is the current state of my manicure that i applied days ago (i just took this photo like 10 minutes before i wrote this post). i applied it on saturday, so this is what it looks like after 4 days of wear. are you impressed? you can't see it in the picture, but i barely have any tip wear going on. i'm crediting all the success to sally hansen insta-dri clearly quick. i love that i can use this top coat to wear a holo for several days, and the glorious holo-ness remains intact. after all, you spend more money on holos, so you should be able to enjoy them for longer on your fingers, right?

7.14.2012

buy it quick!

i just looked at lilacquer's etsy store and saw that bakeneko is back in stock! it's only available in the 15mL full-sized bottle, though, which is totally ok by me. it's $9/bottle plus $2 shipping. trust me, get some~!

p.s. i've just updated bakeneko's status to #10 on my top 10 list. . . . i was hesitant to do so before, because i hate to fall in love with something that's limited edition that i'll never be able to purchase again. but now that it's available online again, i'm definitely making it a favorite :).

7.02.2012

polish purchases: june edition

i thought it might be a smart idea to start keeping track of how many polishes i buy every month, and how much i spend total. i just want to keep this polish obsession in check and not go totally overboard. especially considering that i have a whole drawer of polishes i haven't even tried yet. oy.

this is what i bought last month (june):

wet 'n wild megalast 2% milk, beauty secrets ridge filler, sally hansen insta-dri clearly quick, sinful snow me white, chameleon galactic

wet 'n wild fastdry how i met your magenta, lilacquer bakeneko, jordana cosmic, nic's sticks rainbow's end, wet 'n wild color icon diamond in the rough, pure ice silver mercedes

not nearly as bad as last month. i've been keeping up with how much i paid for each polish, so now i'm gonna add up the total. . . . eep :S

wet 'n wild megalast 2% milk (free-fifty)- i picked this up with my $10 rewards from my epic rite aid haul. this is actually my base coat of choice. it's pretty awesome. a post about that some other time?
sally hansen insta-dri clearly quick (free-fifty)- also purchased with my $10 rewards. even though i looove my nyc top coat (grand central station), i bought this one solely for using over holos. i kept seeing pictures on holo queen's blog of insanely holo holos topped with this polish, so i figured i'd test it out on my layla holos.
chameleon galactic (free-fifty)- yup, another ride aid reward. although i think chameleons are normally $2.99 at rite aid. this is a beautiful gold duochrome that's actually opaque in 2 coats!
wet 'n wild color icon diamond in the rough ($1.50)- i stepped into a cvs to get a snack the other day (oh and to soak up some free AC, i'm not gonna lie) and saw this poor little polish on a bottom shelf with a clearance sticker! i just had to take it home, right? i have 2 others from this collection, and was happy to add a 3rd. i just love the holographic glitter.
jordana cosmic ($1.99)- i found a wall of jordana polishes and makeup at kmart the other day and was so excited! this is the one i wanted most, and i can't wait to layer it over navy blue!
sinful snow me white ($1.99)- i bought this for stamping, which works like a charm (as you can see here). wet 'n wild wild shine french white creme just didn't cut it for me as far as stamping goes.
wet 'n wild fastdry how i met your magenta ($1.99)- yes, i usually despise hot pink, but there were 2 reasons i wanted this one- i love how i met your mother and it has beautiful gold shimmer. i figured if i truly hated it, at least i could franken with it.
pure ice silver mercedes ($2.00)- apparently every nail blogger and her pet cat recommends this silver for stamping. can't wait to try it myself.
beauty secrets ridge filler ($3.65)- i picked this up at sally's last week for my nasty toenails. they have massive ridges and make any polish finish other than creme look ridiculous. i'm not sure it actually helped much though :S. i'll spare you a picture lol.
lilacquer bakeneko ($4.00 + $1.75 s/h)- this is my first indie polish!! and coincidentally my first etsy purchase as well. . . . i'm so excited about this one! it's very similar to max factor fantasy fire, which i've been wanting desperately but unable to get. i'll be showing you bakeneko this week! :)
nic's sticks rainbow's end ($6.99)- zomg!! i found this on ebay with free shipping! after seeing this swatch, i knew i needed it in my collection. it's basically the perfect gold holo, the gold holo i've been looking for for the last 2 years. except for 2 things- it's now discontinued, and the pen thingie sucks. but other than that, amazing!!

GRAND TOTAL FOR JUNE: $25.86

not terrible, right? plus some of that total was a ridge filler. . . . that doesn't count, does it??

6.12.2012

nail extravaganza (rite aid haul)

last month rite aid ran a nail polish promotion where if you spent $30 on any nail-related items, you got $10 to spend on anything at rite aid. at first i was like- how could i spend $30 on nail polish at one drugstore in one month?? but then ummmm. . . . i found a bunch of polishes i wanted. so yup.

here's what i bought for $30, in case you're into that sorta thing:

wet 'n wild color icon the crown is mine (limited edition!)
petites universe (which is kind of a strange name for a gold flaky. . . .)
revlon whimsical
petites epic! (another weird name. . . . what's with the exclamation mark?)
petites color fever banish

nyc water street blue
petites color fever peach blush (why is this cap different than the other petites color fever bottle above??)
sinful colors fig (one of my top 10!)
magnetique magnetic nail polish (unnamed)
nyc grand central station (i needed a few more cents to meet my $30 requirement, so i bought an extra of my favorite top coat!)

so 10 polishes for $30. . . . now i'm no mathmatician, but i figure that's $3 per polish. not bad, right? but really i got 3 more with my $10 back, so less than $3 per polish! part of me is pleased with my purchases, and part of me is ashamed of how many polishes i bought this month at just one store.

btway, rite aid is running the same promotion this month, if you want to be as lame as me. and no, you don't have to buy them all at one whack, your polish purchases accrue during the month!
