hi, new followers :) yes, it's late, but i finally have my pictures of my new year's eve mani to show everyone. i really liked the end result!

i knew as soon i bought this jordana glitter that i wanted to layer it over navy blue. i was hoping to replicate the look of deborah lippmann across the universe, and i think it came out very similar! click here to compare for yourself, though. either way, my version cost less than $3 ($0.99 for the navy, $1.99 for the glitter), while a deborah lippmann will set you back a cool $18. yikes. i say i win :).

oh, and i also had a hard time deciding between navy blue as a base color and aqua, so i tried both! i've never done an accent nail before, so i thought it would a nice change of pace. my husband was totally perplexed by this, though. "why is just one different?? couldn't you have alternated every other nail if you couldn't decide?" he just did not get it. which kind of made me love it more lol.

so has anyone else tried to dupe across the universe before? if you like the jordana glitter as much as i do, look for it at kmart, or online at cherry culture. more blue and green glitter to come tomorrow!
