artificial sea spray

hello, people who drool over nail polish :) today i'd like to show you a franken i made over a year ago. . . . when the china glaze anchor's away collection first came out, i wanted sea spray in a bad way. but i couldn't find it anywhere! i guess everyone else liked it as much as i did. so i tried to make one, using only polishes i already had and online swatches. here's what i came up with-

1 coat artificial sea spray franken

sorry it's grainy, but it's the most color-accurate!

you guys, this is 1 coat with no top coat. do you see how shiny it is?? it's been so long that i'm not 100% positive, but i think these are the polishes i used to make it-

sally hansen xtreme wear pacific blue and mint sorbet, mix of nyc sidewalkers and white, wet 'n wild fastdry silvivor

i mostly used this pale gray that i frankened (nyc sidewalkers + some random white creme polish), with a few drops of blue and mint green, with some silver foil to make the silver shimmer. did you know that you could do that with silver foil?? cool, huh? all of that to make this-

of course, now sea spray (the real one) is readily available at sally's, but i like my shiny one-coater franken too much to spring for the original.
