st. lucia blue sea

hi new readers :) thanks so much for taking the time to look at my pics!

today i wanted to hopefully call some attention to lesser-known beauty of a polish- sinful st. lucia blue sea. i can't believe how little attention it's received, considering how beautiful it is:

2 coats sinful st. lucia blue sea over 1 coat pale gray

pink flash!

this was a total bugger to photograph. in real life, this is a pale blue polish with strong flash that shifts between pink and gold (but mostly gold). sometimes it looks really pearly and almost champagne-colored (like in the 2nd pic), and in other lights you see lots of pink and gold duochrome. i really love it. it's kind of like cinderella's duochrome cousin.

but warning: st. lucia blue sea is super sheer, so I had to experiment over a couple different base colors to get the look i wanted. light blue made it too stark looking, and nude shades kind of hide the pale blue color. i discovered that pale gray (a franken i made a long time ago) is just right and makes the result look just like the color in the bottle. white would probably work well too.

i can't seem to snap of picture of this polish with both the gold and the pink apparent at the same time, so i included both photos.

st. lucia blue sea is an older sinful polish that i've never seen available in stores- only on cherry culture. right now all sinfuls are on sale for $1.25, so think it's totally worth an online order. this gorgeous polish needs some recognition!
