easy going

i have a love-hate relationship with walmart. i love saving money on groceries (and beauty products!), but i absolutely hate the crappy check-out service, the long lines, the inconsiderate people who block a whole aisle with their cart pull of diet coke and chimichangas, and the mullets. so many mullets. but somehow, i keep going there for groceries. this last time i went, though, i almost lost my cool and screamed at people. the clientele was extra rude, and while i was putting my groceries in my trunk, i sliced off my pinky nail. yup, gone. that was the last straw. i may be taking a break from walmart for a while. . . .

so all that to say, i'm only showing you 3 nails today. i guess if it's good enough for deborah from love, varnish, chocolate, and more, then it's good enough for me :P. i've squirreled today's polish away for a long time without wearing it, convinced that it would look bright pink on me (one of my least favorite colors). but when i actually dared to try it, look what happened-

1 coat sinful easy going

not pink at all! i don't know if it's my super-pale skin tone or what, but it definitely doesn't pull pink (except maybe that last pic, just a little). i'm surprised by how pretty and sophisticated this is! and just one coat! you can see in the first photo that there's a little bald spot on my ring finger, so i probably should've done 2. . . . but i'm going to layer something over it anyway, so it doesn't matter too much.

unfortunately, i don't have my own bottle shot for you today, because i accidentally knocked it over after painting my nails, and spilled it all over my lovely coffee table. nice. (i've been spilling and dropping everything lately! is this a bizarre pregnancy side-effect, or am i just officially losing my mind??) anyway, so i'm borrowing this image from amazon today. you can see the pink tint of it better against the white backdrop.

isn't it such a lovely, polished shade? it's probably one of my favorite opaque nudes, second only to cq vintage. can you believe that you can have such a classy, expensive look for just $1.99?
