empire state blue

nyc empire state blue is a polish i almost purged from my collection. . . . i have a million teals, and this one is really sheer, so i thought i would get rid of it in order to make room for polishes i really love. well, that was before i realized that it's a perfect layering match for american apparel peacock from yesterday!

1 coat nyc empire state blue over 1 coat american apparel peacock



now this isn't your average teal shimmer. this teal has green sparkly shimmer (see 2nd pic). needless to say, i'm soo glad i held on to this one.

see that green shimmer toward the top of the bottle?

these older style nyc polishes (nyc long wearing nail enamel) sell for 99 cents at walmart, target, and other drugstores.

    I'm the same way - taking a second look at polishes I didn't like before I knew about layering. Love your pix, your nails look great, too.

      Aw, thanks :). Yeah, I've learned (the hard way) to hang on to polishes I'm not quite sure about. More often than not, I can find some combination that works.
